Windturbine Jackets on the Tyne

A new adventure for the Great Shipyards of the River Tyne
J1  The Windturbine Jackets for the Bertrice Field in the  North Sea at the Hadrian Yard for Smulders J2  The top sections are being produced at Hoboken and will firstly be transported to Newcastle, where the lower sections are being manufactured, and where the final assembly will take place. This as seen from the A & P (Tyne)Ltd yard J3  The foundations are expected to be installed at the site some three kilometres off Aberdeen in January 2018, followed by the installation of the 66kV inter-array cables and the export cable.This as seen from the A & P (Tyne)Ltd yard J4  The wind farm is expected to generate first power in summer 2018 and operate for 20 years.
